Envisaging Wyatt Lyon Preul

Those are my eyes staring at you. They allow me to see you clearly through this screen. No, don't click there, it will take you away from my online space.

Let me start again, I am Wyatt and I am a software engineer. I am also a process theologian, author, music hipster, struggling artist who enjoys thinking outside of your finitude. I am not as pretentious as that line makes me sound. If you have some spare time read more about me.

When are we going to make programming a televised sport

A A A

I have a vision of a future where programmers compete in televised events like athletes.

This future is similar to present day South Korea and their televised startcraft competitions.  I want to watch a show that alternates between showing source code and then programmers writing it.  I imagine these athletes (programmers) would be sponsored by companies like starbucks and logitech.

A sign of a programmer athlete is a mighty clicker muscle.  The clicker muscle is the one that flexes whenever you click your mouse.

Do you have any ideas for other geeky challenges that could be televised?
