Cooking Tip 203: Keep a cornucopia of vegetables

A A A

For a couple of years my wife and I have kept our commonly used vegetables on a nice serving platter on our counter.

This is an easy way to keep track of how many onions, garlic, potatoes, and any other common items you have on hand.  We simply keep our platter stocked in abundance.  I encourage you to keep your vegetables out like you would fruit.  It not only is handy when you are cooking, but it also adds a variety of color to your countertop.  We keep the vegetables that we use less frequently in the crisper.  We do find that this collection changes with the season too, where winter squash and summer vegetables circulate.  Here is our current stock of common vegetables.
