Car driving product idea

Tonight I was driving home dancing to the radio and using my legs to steer the car.  I came to an intersection that I needed to turn at and my jeans couldn't get enough friction to turn the wheel.  This has to be the most frustrating part of driving with your knees.  I am sure I am not the only one who finds themselves in this situation either.  My wife suggested a good solution to this problem, putting rubber in the knee area of your jeans.  You could keep them in the car and then strap them on when a good song comes on.  What do you think?

I think that solves your problem, but what about me?  I'm 300lbs and 6'2, I doubt my knees hit the steering wheel at the same place as you.  Plus, what if I'm wearing suit pants, I don't want to rubberize those, eh?

How about we rubberize from 3 to 9 on the steering wheel?  That solves your problem and my problem.  Plus, you shouldn't need to rubberize higher, because, honestly now ... can you actually turn your wheel that much with your knees?

1. Keep your hands at 10 and 2. The only time your hands shouldn't be on the wheel is when you're talking on your cell phone. :)

2. Nasty! Wait to do your horizontal hula dance when you get home.

3. Wear shorts instead of pants - your bare skin grabs the wheel better.

4. Or better yet, wear no pants at all - it makes "dancing" easier.

you wouldnt by any chance need to use your hands to put them on would you?  I mean, if you knew you were going to be busy in advance, you could have always just asked your wife to drive... :P

ohh, maybe a new GPS routing calcuation for knee drivers, that takes out sharp turns and streets with cross traffic or dangerous intersections...
